The grade 1 & 2 students have been learning about Africa, its biomes and its animals. They've even learnt a Swahili song and performed it at assembly. Enjoy our Africa display!
This term, the students have been busy investigating the services provided in our local community. A visit from an ambulance officer and a nurse helped them answer questions that they had posed. In groups, they designed their own suburb and transferred their designs into 3D models. The students also designed and made a magnet to advertise a community service.
As part of our unit of work on Sustainability, the students have made posters to advertise the collection of ring pulls from cans. The ring pulls are then donated to organisations who sell them. The money from the ring pulls has been used by one group to fund the production of prosthetic limbs for land mine victims. Please support the cause and send ring pulls to school.
