Principals Welcome
Welcome!
My name is Lynne Holland and I am the very proud principal of this incredible school!
We extend a warm welcome to your family and we look forward to you forming a close and rewarding association with our school. We hope that browsing through the website will enable you to see a little of the wonderful Mullum spirit which the community values and shares.
The school aims to provide a stimulating and supportive environment, with engaging and challenging educational programs beyond the basic curriculum.
The school values the whole child and strives to develop self-esteem, confidence and independence. We believe that all students need care and support as they grow towards adulthood. Students are better prepared for learning when they are happy, safe and healthy. As a caring learning community we promote 'norms' rather than 'rules' based upon values that will frame behaviours and responsibilities. Throughout the year, students participate in programs which practice human values, encourage a sense of personal responsibility and empower students to make conscious choices.
Students are empowered to develop their uniqueness- we are proud of our rich diversity of learners at Mullum. They are prepared for further education and to become productive citizens of the global society. Learning experiences are direct, experiential, and culturally significant with opportunities for students to interact with and explore the real world around them. The learning processes of inquiry; questioning, problem solving, data gathering and analysis are viewed as central to learning.
The school sees education as a partnership of children, staff, parents and the local community. Involvement by our families and our surrounding community greatly contribute to our learning environment.
We look forward to getting to know you.
