Parents’ Association (PA)

The Mullum Primary School Parents’ Association (PA) plays an important role in building a connected and supportive school community. Through social events and fundraising initiatives, the PA promotes student wellbeing and contributes to projects such as nature play spaces, sports courts, and play equipment upgrades.

Membership is free and involvement is flexible. Meetings are held monthly during the school year, and all families are welcome to participate, contribute ideas, and support the school community.

School Council

Our School Council is a dedicated team of parents, community members, and staff who work in partnership with the Principal to guide the direction and governance of the school.

School Councils are established under the Minister for Education and focus on three key areas:

  • Finance – overseeing budgets and expenditure

  • Strategic Planning – setting goals and shaping the school’s future

  • Policy – developing and reviewing school policies

Councillors also represent the school community, supporting services, facilities, and key initiatives, and strengthening connections between families and the school.

Elections are held each March, with members serving two-year terms. The Council meets twice per term, and sub-committees provide additional opportunities for community involvement.

Serving on School Council is a meaningful way to contribute to your child’s education and the ongoing success of our school.

Uniform

We are proud of our red and black uniform, featuring the eagle emblem, which promotes a strong sense of identity and belonging within our school community.  Wearing the uniform reflects our shared expectations, fosters cohesion, ensures students are appropriately dressed for school activities and weather conditions, and helps minimise social pressures related to clothing.

Our Uniform Policy is developed by the School Council in consultation with the school community and is regularly reviewed to ensure it reflects our values and priorities.
